What do you do when you find your funds running short when you’re just a stone’s throw from completing the project you’ve spent 5 years working on? You ask the wider community for the help that you need and if you’re really lucky, like we were, that community comes through for you in spades.
At the end of 2017 we realised that our budget was not going to be sufficient to get us to opening stage of the brewery that we had poured our hearts and souls into. And so we turned to crowdfunding as a way to gain much needed funds, stay out of debt and in control of our hand built business and as a way to forge a connection with people and our story .
Our Ready Fund Go campaign was successful beyond our wildest expectations.
We hit our target of $20 000 in just 5 days and that figure just kept rising. By the end of the campaign we had reached over $35 000!
It was an amazing few weeks and we were truly humbled and touched by how many people were willing to pledge their hard earned money to help us get our dream afloat.
